My brother, Eric, started the band Berkeley to D.C. when he was in junior high. The name comes from a scene in Forest Gump when Jenny gets on a bus headed to D.C. (you know, when Forest says, "I think you should go home to Greenbow, Alabama!"). Eric has truly inspired me with his life. Ever since we were little kids we have been bouncing our creativity off of each other. When Eric first picked up a guitar, not only did he teach himself how to play it, but we all discovered his natural ability to shine. A couple nights ago Berkeley was able to open for a band called Lydia. This was Lydia's last show and tour in OKC. Eric and everyone else in Berkeley were stoked to be able to participate in the event.
Here are some pictures:
*small disclaimer-There is also a keyboardist in the band not shown in the photos. My crowd position would not allow it.
Eric will be a superstar one day. To me, he will always be the little kid who never understood the concept of clothing, the best person to share bunk-beds with, and the brat who gave me Chicken Pox! Yup. I love this kid.
